Paint & Sip Night with Chicago Public Library

The Chicago Public Library BOTY/Gage Park branches are BACK on Thursday, August 28th for a fun night of painting, drinking, and fun! As summer comes to an end, we’d like to celebrate these last long and warm days with a little creativity and some good brews. CPL will provide the paint, canvases, and easels, you bring the company and good vibes! This event is going to be fun and free, but we highly encourage you to register at chipubli.org to ensure staff has enough materials. Food eats by Raza’s Pizza and good drinks from Whiner Beer and Somos Monos Cervecería. Absolutely free, all ages welcome! Starts at 7pm!

Our good friends at Raza’s Pizza have officially taken up residency in our kitchen, and we are having a huge pizza party to celebrate! Chef Cesar Ordaz and his talented crew are excited to be serving the Back of the Yards community. Their Neopolitan and Sicilian style pizzas are such a perfect compliment to both Whiner and Somos Monos, and we can’t wait for our guests to enjoy the southside’s best new za joint! De Vuelta a Los 80’s!

Come join us in the taproom on Saturday, September 20th at 7pm for an 80’s night flashback! We will have an all-vinyl set party with Chicago’s on DJ Jerry Reyes. He will be spinning house, 80’s classics, new wave and disco.
Over the FM airwaves, Jerry religiously listened to the “hot mix” DJ shows in the early 1980s. His DJ style is still very much influenced by these pioneer DJs who played a variety of genres in their sets.
Wear your raddest, totally tubular bodacious 80s clothing and get a chance to win a price. Salud!
